Village of Hope, a non-denominational, not for profit organization in Salisbury, Maryland is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the full-time position of President/CEO for the organization. This position provides leadership and strategic vision for the Transitional Living Program, Empowering Children’s Project, and oversight and supervision of two facilities and the professional and support staff who provide the programs and services to the women and children served by the organization’s mission. The position reports to the Chairperson of the Board of Directors and provides direction and support to the standing and ad hoc committees of the Board.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Overall management and operations of the Village of Hope programs
Supervision & hiring of the professional and support staff, interns and volunteers providing service and program components in the Transitional Living Program (TLP).
Maintains positive working relationships with local and regional, educational, and social service organizations that refer to and support TLP.
Works with the Board and TLP Committee to ensure that program components, policies and procedures are maintained in a consistent and confidential manner.
Preparing and oversight of the organization’s annual budget and maintenance of accurate and complete financial records.
Maintaining official records and documents to ensure compliance with funding agencies and federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
Identifies, writes and submits grants and maintains reporting requirements of various funding agencies.
Writes & develops annual newsletter and Annual Appeal campaign materials.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education or Human Services field, preferred. Previous not-for-profit experience is a plus.
Minimum of five years of supervisory experience.
Possesses leadership skills including negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making and delegation.
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Knowledge of budget process and financial management.
Strong organizational and personnel management skills.
