Village of Hope, a non-denominational, not for profit organization in Salisbury, Maryland is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the full-time position of Executive Assistant for the organization. This position provides administrative support to the President/CEO and supports various aspects of the Transitional Living Program and Empowering Children’s Project. The Executive Assistant provides supervision of various volunteers who assist staff in providing programs and services to the women and children served by the organization’s mission. The position reports to the President/CEO and provides assistance to the standing and ad hoc committees of the Board of Directors.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepares and distributes information and correspondence with various constituents using word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
Utilizes fundraising software to input donor information & donations, generate reports and maintain up to date mailing lists as required.
Assists with fundraising campaigns, special events and maintains social media accounts to increase public awareness.
Works with organizations and individuals to recruit volunteers and accept donations.
Collects and maintains program data as required by the President/CEO for various funding purposes. Helps to identify, write, and submit grant applications.
Assists with the daily, weekly and monthly bookkeeping and financial needs of The Village; prepares required reporting utilizing QuickBooks software and the remote deposit function.
Provides some supervision of the Village of Hope Resident Advisor.
Minimum associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Sociology, or another related field. Post-graduate work is a plus.
Two to four years of experience in an organization focused on human/health services preferred. Non-profit experience is a plus.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, social media and email marketing.
Knowledge of donor management software and QuickBooks is a plus.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, Information Technology, and troubleshooting.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records and files.
Ability to maintain confidentiality about program participants and other sensitive aspects of the organization.
