Village of Hope provides a safe, supportive home, resources, and a path forward for women and children who are at risk of homelessness and financial instability. Our work is rooted in compassion, dignity, and the unwavering belief that hope—when nurtured—has the power to transform lives.
Through our Steps to Success Transitional Living Program, women and their children may live in one of our 15 furnished apartments for up to two years. Each participant works closely with a dedicated Case Manager and full-time social workers to develop a personalized, time-oriented plan focused on improving quality of life and achieving long-term self-sufficiency.
With the generous support of individuals, businesses, and community partners, participants have access to opportunities that strengthen job readiness, education, and life skills. This includes coursework and training through local institutions such as Wor-Wic Community College, Salisbury University, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and other educational partners. Participants also receive support services, such as mental health care, parenting and life skills workshops, and credit counseling.
Today, Village of Hope serves women and their children from across Maryland’s Eastern Shore, who are committed to making positive changes in their lives and working toward stability and independence. Village of Hope is helping families move from crisis toward stability, dignity, and hope.
We welcome your support and invite you to be part of this important work.
